AUTOTRUCK CLUB

THE CLUB FOR SMALL INDUSTRIAL / HORTICULTURAL TRUCKS LISTER, MERCURY, WRIGLEY, WRIGLEY UNION, BONSER, MARTIN, GEEST ETC.

V765 UPDATE

The club has successfully completed four age related applications since being reinstated on the V765 Register following a vicious attempt by former members who wrote to the DVLA with unsubstantiated claims of possible fraud and dishonestly against myself personally, fortunately the DVLA who carried out some form of investigation that did not involve any current members of the committee although one person claims that we were made aware of the situation but we can assure you that we were not contacted by the DVLA.

Substantial donations have been made to the club funds in respect of the registrations including a very generous individual donation of £60.00 from one very happy person,

it will be some time before we are re included in the V765/1 list of clubs but word of mouth helps a great deal so if you hear of anyone requiring registration assistance pass our contact details to them.

UPDATE ON PROBLEMS

The club is still facing difficulties from former members who resigned in February 2015 and are still refusing to cooperate and hand over the Bank Account and the monies held in said account. It was also recently discovered that one of the people who resigned also wrote to the DVLA informing them that the club was to be disbanded asking for the club to be removed from the V765 dating and registration scheme, this action was a vicious vindictive act from a person who cannot accept that he no longer has the right to dictate what happens within the club.

The club has been reinstated into the V765 scheme and can and will assist anyone in retaining or applying for an age related Registration Number for their vehicle, if assistance if required for Registration or number Retention please use the CONTACT link for information.

Due to resignations within the structure of the Club many functions cannot be completed, if you have contacted the Club for any reason please be patient and your query will be answered, at this time we are unable to pay bills or receive any money due to the bank account being frozen by the persons who have resigned and no signs of the situation abating, please keep looking in and normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

UPDATE
EXACTLY 7 MONTHS SINCE THE RESIGNATION OF SOME COMMITTEE MEMBERS THE CLUB GALA TENT, CHAIRS, WATER HEATING EQUIPMENT AND CLUB BANNERS HAVE BEEN RELUCTANTLY FOLLOWING MUCH PRESSURE HANDED OVER TO THE NEW COMMITTEE, WE NOW AWAIT THE TRANSFER OF CLUB FUNDS AND BANK ACCOUNT TO BE AUDITED AND HANDED OVER SO THE CLUB CAN MOVE FORWARD.

New members cannot be accepted for now as we cannot accept any payment until further notice.

Hello and welcome to our site, the aims of this club is to unite owners of all small Industrial, Horticultural and other non specified trucks into a group to exchange technical  information and knowledge with the ultimate aim to attend rallies in their own right instead of being lumped in with Tractors, Commercials or other miscellaneous groups where small exhibits get lost in the mass of larger vehicles. The club has had success over the last few years in having our own section at the Stroud Vintage Club rally at Kemble Airfield ( 28 trucks 2008) and The Great Dorset Steam Fair (12 trucks 2008) both of these venues have extended invitations to exhibit again so we must be doing something right. To learn more about us and what we do use the contact link below and see what we have to offer, if any rally organisers are reading this and would like to discuss the possibility of inviting us as a group to their rally please contact us by using the link below.

Did you know the Autotruck Club has a Newsletter

which goes out at least four times a Year, usually consisting of about 20 pages of historical information

on all types of industrial handling equipment. This

covers Lister, Martin Truck, Geest, Bonser, Douglas, Lansing Bagnall, BEV, Winget, and many more too numerous to mention.

There are plenty of Rally Reports, and information on forthcoming Rallies at which the Club will be attending, and original product information data.

With more and more overseas Members joining we

are now receiving stories of great British products popping up all over the World, and of course some

very interesting products designed, and manufactured around the Globe.

Why not join the Club

and be kept up

to date, and of course you may learn something you

didn't know about your piece of History.
